ABOUT CASA CREATIONS
Hi, I'm Carrie-Ann.
I'm a friendly home-based seamstress, working around my family.
I work on an appointment basis with times available during the day and in the evenings to fit around you.
MY STORY
Working with fabrics has run in my family for generations, with a great, great aunt being a milliner, my great grandmother making clothes and memories of holding boat sails flat with my dad's hand turning an old singer machine.
I went to university with dreams of working in the theatre industry, which only deepened my love for clothing and costumes, making many garments for performances whilst there. After achieving my BA Hons in Drama, Theatre and Performance Studies from Roehampton University, I returned to Lowestoft and worked in a school. Here again, I made more costumes for performances such as Annie and Alice in Wonderland. Upon the birth of my firstborn, my love for sewing and creating grew, making clothing and costumes for her.
Casa Creations was created in 2013, initially making fancy dress costumes. Over the years, this has grown with me taking a course in fashion design and further developing my sewing skills. I created my first bespoke wedding dress in 2014, and bespoke garment making has expanded from there to be able to offer dresses, suits, costumes and more. Presently I am one of Norwich Wed2b's recommended seamstresses and have worked on local pantomime costumes and made items and garments for a couple of films, with more in the pipeline.
So whether you have always wanted a dress or suit perfectly made to fit your shape, or are you not sure what will suit you? Or you would like something created from your imagination or mine, or from a picture - I would love to hear from you.
